Vrbo is a crucial OTA for our users in the vacation rental space, which is why we are pleased to announce not one but two new important updates to the Guesty-Vrbo integration! 

I. Vrbo Security Deposit Sync

From now on, users will be able to input Vrbo security deposits to their listings directly from the Guesty platform, which will be clearly displayed to guests on Vrbo. With this, Vrbo joins OTAs Airbnb, Trip Advisor, and Booking.com, which also feature a seamless security deposit sync with the Guesty platform.

It is important to note that Guesty does not support or facilitate the collection and/or return of the deposit. This can be done via the OTAs or manually according to a user’s discretion.

II. Direct Listing Disconnection Capability 

All users are now able to disconnect their Vrbo integrations and listings by themselves, directly from Guesty’s platform. Up until this update, users could not disconnect integrations and listings independently but had to reach out to our support team for assistance. 

Users can use this new self-service capability to:

  • Take specific listings off the Vrbo integration
  • Move listings between different Vrbo integrations
  • Re-create their integration with different settings
  • Disconnect from Vrbo’s direct integration
